Shri Braj Mohan Ji comes to Vrindavan: The pace of time has signified bad times on many an occasion, a priest kidnapped the Shri Braj Mohan Idols when they were being offered service by Mrs. Radharani Ji, the last daughter-in-law of the disciples of Shri Narottam Das Thakur. Shortly afterwards, the Idols were detected at the home of a courtesan. Advocate of the Rajshahi district (present-day Bangladesh) Sri Gaur Sunder Singh gave a few bucks to the courtesan and brought the idols to his house and slowly fell in love with Shri Braj Mohan Ji.  Within a few days, he gave up his business of advocacy and came to Shri Dham Vrindavan with Shri Murti of Shri Braj Mohan Ji on a boat.

Khajur Bari: Approximately 500 years ago, in the Gyan Gudri on the Yamuna Bank of Shridham Vrindavan. A temple named Khajur Bari was built and revered the Shri Idol of Shri Braj Mohan Ji. The specialty of naming the Khajur Bari is that before the establishment of temple, there was a huge Khajur (Date Palm) tree at that place.  Shri Gaur Sunder Singh, the founder of Shri Braj Mohan Ji's Temple decided to cut the Khajur tree. At that time on the same night of that day, that Khajur tree said to him in a dream - "I have been meditating here for many days, and after a few days I will receive my body (after the tree dries). Respect me then, but do not cut the tree at this time.” The place became famous as Khajur Bari as soon as the matter of dream become known to public.

Gyan Gudri: Shri Uddhav Ji, a close friend of Krishna finished his education from Dev Guru Brahspati and become supremely knowledgeable. He was conscious of his knowledge but could not understand why Krishna was feverish in love with Gopis. Krishna wanted to teach Shri Uddhav the meaning of his Gopi Prem. With this in mind he told Shri Uddhav Ji to go to Radha and Gopis and share his knowledge. Uddhav Ji came to preach the path of knowledge to the Braj Gopis, but seeing the unconditional and infinite love of Braj Gopis towards Krishna, he forgot his knowledge and attained Gopi love towards Shri Krishna. That is why the name of this place became Gyan Gudri.

Shri Gadadhar Bandhopadhyay: Sri Gaur Sunder Singh was a well-known lawyer of Rajshahi.  His father, Shri Vinay Krishna Singh had built his samadhi near the palm tree of Khajur Bari after the attainment of Shri Dham Vrindavan of by little Baba Gaur Singh Ji.  After that the responsibility of the service of Shri Braj Mohan Ji came on the lawyer of Rajshahi district Mr. Vinay Krishna Singh and his heirs. With him was the introduction of Pandit Shri Gadadhar Bandhopadhyay, resident of Dhaka, considering that he would reside in Braj, Shri Vinay Babu arranged for him to stay in Khajur Bari by entrusting him with the responsibility of serving Shri Sri Braj Mohan Ji and himself took full financial responsibility. This Shri Gadadhar Bandhopadhyay was an equally well-known priest of ritual and special lecturer and reader of Shrimad Bhagwat, he was instructed by Shri Shri Braj Mohan ji in his dream to establish Shrimati Radha Rani next to Shri Braj Mohan Ji.

Sunita Devi: Shri Gadadhar Bandhopadhyay brought one of his daughters with him while coming to Braj.  When the girl was eligible for marriage, he married the girl with Subhash Mukherjee, the manager of Shri Shri Lala Babu temple located in Sri Dham Vrindavan. They did not have any children.  After the demise of her father and husband, she continued to conduct service etc. to Shri Shri Radha Braj Mohan Ji by accepting Shri Panchanan Chattoraj of the local Chattoraj dynasty as her grandson. Shri Gadadhar Pandit’s daughter Sunita Devi became very old and the temple also dilapidated. Services offered to Shri Shri Radha Braj Mohan Ji were also not what they used to be. At this time, the responsibility of the service of Shri Radha Braj Mohan Ji was of Mr. Sunil Singh, of the Singh family, he became very anxious. He pledged to transfer the responsibility of serving Shri Shri Radha Braj Mohan Ji.

Akhil Bharat Jai Guru Sampradaya: He prayed to the world-renowned Shri Shri Thakur Sitaram Omkaranath Dev Ji to take up the responsibility of the temple and service of Shri Shri Radha Braj Mohan Ji, but Shri Shri Thakur Sitaramdas Omkaranath Dev Ji did not agree at first.  After some time he thought about the special history of Khajur Bari - Shri Vigraha serviced by Shri Shri Narottam Das Thakur, the first Bhog kitchen built by Shri Jahwa Mata Thakurani etc.  Thinking of all this and Shri Shri Radha Braj Mohan Ji, he took all the responsibility of the temple and it’s ornaments along with metal utensils of bronze, brass etc.  Since then, all the responsibility of the temple of Shri Shri Sri Radha Braj Mohan Ji was handed over by him to the Akhil Bharat Mahamilan Trust in Kolkata.  Since then, according to the tradition of his disciples and devotees, the service of Shri Sri Radha Braj Mohan Ji's temple has been going on smoothly. Presently Kinkar "Shri Brajmohan Das" (Deepak) is taking care of the service of Sri Sri Gurudev and Sri Sri Thakur Sitaramdas Omkaranath Dev Ji and is lovingly serving him.
